Vietnam won the 'Tourism Oscar'

According to information from the World Travel Awards, Vietnam has just been honored as the World's Leading Heritage Destination 2020. The award is considered the "Oscar of the tourism industry".

On November 27, the World Travel Awards organization announced the world's top awards for 2020. The event took place in the capital of Moscow (Russia). The General Department of Tourism said that this is the second consecutive year that Vietnam has won in this category, continuing to affirm the attraction of Vietnamese tourism on the international tourism map.

This year, Vietnam has surpassed the candidates of Brazil, Egypt, Greece, Moscow (Russia), Porto, North Portugal, and Saudi Arabia to win the prestigious award "Top Heritage Destination of the world".

This is considered the "Oscar of the tourism industry". The results of the World Travel Awards are obtained after one year of evaluation and commentary by experts in the travel industry and the international public.

On this occasion, Mr. Graham Cooke, founder of the World Travel Awards, congratulated and affirmed that the top prize winners in the world deserve to be excellent examples with outstanding achievements in the global tourism and travel industry. 

"They all have shown strong resilience in a year with unprecedented challenges," Mr. Graham Cooke stressed.

The fact that Vietnam has been honored in the category of "World's Leading Heritage Destination" for two consecutive years affirms the top attraction of natural resources as well as cultural resources of the S-shaped land with international friends. At the same time, this prestigious award is also a testament to Vietnam's achievements in preserving and promoting the heritage of the country.

This is a golden opportunity to continue to affirm the brand of the national destination, enhance the status of Vietnam's tourism, widely promote the potentials and strengths of domestic tourism to the world.

Previously, on November 3, at the ceremony announcing the results of voting for the World Travel Awards in Asia in 2020, Vietnam was also honored to be named the winner in the categories: Top Asian Heritage Destination, Asia's premier cultural destination, and Asia's top culinary destination.

Not only famous for its natural beauty, but these international awards are also proof that Vietnamese tourism has been spread to the international community with human creations.

These prestigious awards are the motivation and opportunity for Vietnamese tourists to continue to widely promote the potentials and strengths of Vietnamese tourism to the world.

Launched in 1993, the World Travel Awards (WTA) recognizes, rewards, and celebrates excellence in all areas of the tourism industry. Today, WTA is globally recognized as the highest standard of quality in the travel industry.

Idle scenery in the coastal village in Hai Duong

The village road and coastal land in Hai Duong (Huong Tra district) score by its poetic scenery, clear and blue water, and high and low stone field.  The road to the coastal village of Hai Duong in these days is quite deserted.
