Vietnam is in the top 4 dream destinations of international tourists

Many international tourists are cherishing plans to come to Vietnam in 2020. This is reflected in the large number of searches on the booking application.

According to the latest statistics of Agoda, the online booking platform, Vietnam ranked 4th in the list of destinations most searched by users in 2020. Ranking above Vietnam is Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan, respectively (China).

The survey also shows differences by group of visitors. Solo travelers pay great attention to Vietnam as the S-shaped country ranks 4th on the list, after Thailand, Japan, and Taiwan (China). With the family group, Vietnam is in the top 3 most popular destinations, just behind Thailand and Taiwan (China).

Tim Hughes, Agoda VP of Business Development, emphasized the data shows a strong shift to domestic tourism. This is due to a looser domestic travel restriction in some places. However, many people are still dreaming of foreign travel.

"They look forward to the end of this year when the tourist corridor will reopen in some well-controlled Covid-19 pandemic sites. Visitors are still waiting for some exciting deals to hit the road," replied Tim Hughes.

In the Vietnamese market, support for domestic tourism is absolute as no more foreign destinations appear on the list of every visitor group. Last year, Bangkok (Thailand) appeared in the top 10 most popular destinations for Vietnamese guests traveling with family groups and alone.

Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) is the number one choice for all groups of guests (couples and alone). This city has beaten Da Nang to take first place this year. In 2019, Nha Trang is only ranked 7th in the selection list of the solo traveler group.

Ranked second in the list of most favorite Vietnamese destinations is Phu Quoc (Kien Giang). The next three positions belonged to Da Nang, Vung Tau (Ba Ria - Vung Tau), and Da Lat (Lam Dong). In the list of favorites of couples, Da Nang ranked second. The remaining three positions belonged to Phu Quoc, Vung Tau, and Da Lat.

Idle scenery in the coastal village in Hai Duong

The village road and coastal land in Hai Duong (Huong Tra district) score by its poetic scenery, clear and blue water, and high and low stone field.  The road to the coastal village of Hai Duong in these days is quite deserted.
