Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark (Ha Giang)

On October 3, 2010, Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark became the first global geology park in Vietnam and being second in South East Asia. In 2014 and 2019, Unesco reaffirmed the place is a member of the global geology park network in the period 2015 - 2018 and 2019 - 2022. 

Spanning through 4 districts of Quan Ba, Dong Van, Meo Vac, Yen Minh, this geology park is the place tourists must discover as traveling to Ha Giang. Dating back to the Cambrian age, the Dong Van karst plateau geopark has experienced 7 different geology periods with vestiges remaining in the ruin of paleontology, stratigraphy, geomorphology, karst, caves...

Not only discovering the endless beauty of nature, but tourists also can immerse themselves in the life of mountainous residents of Ha Giang. The community of 17 minorities such as Mong, Dao, Tay, Lo Lo, Nung... in the Dong Van karst plateau still retain their own unique traditional cultural values, the treasure of interesting things for you to explore.

Non-Nuoc Cao Bang geology park (Cao Bang)

The Non-Nuoc Cao Bang geology park accounts for nearly half of the Cao Bang area. It was recognized officially as a global geopark by Unesco in April 2018. 

The fossils, sediments of the sea, volcanic stone, mineral.... and kart mountain landscapes are a testament to changes of the earth over the past hundreds of millions of years. 

The Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark is also a place where is inherent with history, the culture of Vietnam with over 215 ranked heritages, along with many famous landscapes such as Ban Gioc waterfall, Le Nin spring, Thang Hen lake, Nguom Ngao cave, Phia Oac - Phia Den national park...

Dak Nong geopark

The Dak Nong geopark established in 2015 has 65 heritage sites of geology, geomorphology, with a system of nearly 50 caves that stretch is up to 10.000 m, waterfalls, craters...

The park area has a tropical forest ecosystem, preserving characteristic values of biology diversification, much unique geology, natural features, and traces of pre-historic humans. 

Some attractions of the park with a strange look and attracting tourists the most are Ta Nung national park, Lieng Nung waterfall, waterfall cluster of D'ray Sap, Trinh Nu, Gia Long, and Yok Don national park...

Last July 7, the program and international relations Committee of Unesco executive Board in Paris approved a decision to recognize the Dak Nong geopark as a global geopark.
