3 unique villages in China, you may not know

China has many impressive and interesting villages with unique features that attract foreign tourists a lot. 

Monolithic stone village

The stone city in Bao Son, Yunnan province (China): The entire village with over 100 residences, was built on a giant mushroom-shaped monolithic stone. It has only an exit in the south. 


Fossil village

A house with Laoxudian type in Thach Binh district, north Yunnan province: An archeologist who visited this village 2 years ago declared that local residences build their houses by using a type of fossil deem indefinite in this area. 


Cliff village

The Hongde village in Thuy Thanh district, Quy Chau province: 2 km away from the nearest railway station, the village seems not lying in a remote mountain. 

However, this route is divided by a great mountainous canon, and villagers must go through this canon by a weak manual cable car until the local authority decided to build a bridge in 2012.

Gosh town is hidden in the bed of the lake

Minnewanka is one of the most beautiful lakes of Banff national park, but not many people know a mystery lies in the deep ground of it: the gosh town.  During the 1800s, Canada has a village named Minnewanka Landing. Visitors from the nearly Calgary city once rushed to the town to relax. Then It located on the edge of a smaller lake than Minnewanka at present. They took boat crossing the lake, relaxing at hotels, resorts in the summer or enjoying at restaurants... The lake of Minnewanka lies in the eastern of Banff national park, 5 km away from the Banff town. The lake is long of 21 km and deep of 142 m. Perched on a steep cliff above the sea level, Lake Leitisvatn becomes the most must-visit spot in the Faroe Islands. Idle scenery in the coastal village in Hai Duong

The village road and coastal land in Hai Duong (Huong Tra district) score by its poetic scenery, clear and blue water, and high and low stone field.  The road to the coastal village of Hai Duong in these days is quite deserted. Direction from the highway 49 to Tam Giang bridge is praised by many Thua Thien Hue people "picturesque" with the white cloud bands on a background of blue sky, without any smoke.  Across Tam Giang bridge, turn right into Thai Duong Thuong village, you can catch up with the green grass fields and buffalo herds which are leisurely grazing.
